Kim Schumann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Schumann, was crowned Russell Homecoming Queen.  Her attendants were Annette Clayton, Joan Lahart, Christi Clanin and Kim Knust.

Russell would soon have a new bandstand.  Russell has been without a bandstand for a number of years.  Two men, Loren Goltry and Don Turbot, felt with Russell's 125th anniversary celebration it was time to get started.  They made the first two donations and more donations followed.
